Beverly Rischack

RISCHACK, Beverly C. died peacefully on April 11, 2018 at her home. She was 85 years old. Beverly Catherine Schooks was born to Russell G. and Zelma J. (Williams) Schooks on December 20, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. She married Gerald L. Rischack on June 20, 1953 in Detroit. Beverly and Gerald moved from Metro Detroit to Saginaw in 1971. Gerald preceded her in death on February 28, 2016 after 63 years of marriage. Beverly retired in 1988 from Saginaw General Hospital after 18 years of service as a secretary of Cardiac Rehab. She enjoyed oil painting; Beverly was a wonderful artist, with very little effort. She enjoyed nothing more than her friends, family and special dog, PNUT. Beverly is survived by her son, Randy; daughter, Leslie McDonald; brother, Robert (Lucinda) Schooks; grandson, Ryan; granddaughter, Kelly; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dooley; four cousins: Lillian (Rod) Martin, Ronald Schooks, Diane (Karl) Mitchell, and Nancy Kleinhoffer. Also surviving are Sandy (Bill) Hansen, Nichie Leslie, Lynn (Mark) Smith, and Debbie Fick, whom Beverly affectionately referred to as her "other daughters" and dear friends: Carol Adams, Nancy Ware, Bev Spiekerman, Sue Harris, and her Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Helmeczi. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care provided over the years to Dr. Gerald and Carol Thomas, Dr. Jill Paveglio, Sara Bobick, Dr. Claudia Zacharek, Dr. Umesh Badami, Dr. Ernie Balcueva, and Dr. Glenn Cipullo. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Saginaw County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
