Bugenske, Sandra "Sandy" St. Charles, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was 78 years old. Sandra Burages was born on June 6, 1939 in Unionville, MI to the late Stanley and Virginia (Filipiak) Burages. Sandy was raised in Unionville and graduated from Unionville High School. Sandy met the love of her life, Thomas D. Bugenske, whom she married on January 14, 1961. They celebrated 57 wonderful years together. Sandy had a wonderful sense of humor, and would light up a room with her smile. She loved decorating and celebrating Christmas with family and friends. Sandy enjoyed traveling, shopping, garage sales and trips to the Casino. Sandy is survived by her husband, Tom; children: Todd (Lynnette) Bugenske, Mary Bugenske, Tom Jr. (Cammie) Bugenske; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one more expected in May. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters. FUNERAL: A family funeral service for Sandy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate. Burial will take place at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Unionville. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the American Diabetes Association or Hidden Harvest.
