Obituary
Bovill, Nancy G. of Saginaw, Michigan, died peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Cartwright Hospice Residence, with family at her side. She was 85 years old. Nancy G. Brooks was born in March 1932 in Peterborough, Ontario, to the late Norman F. and Ruby G. (Sharpe) Brooks. She married William Shell Bovill in 1953. Bill preceded her in death after 49 years of marriage. Nancy and Bill lived in Saginaw for most of their married lives. Nancy was an active contributor to the local community. She served through her church, St. John's Episcopal, was a member of the Lawyer's Wives Association and the Junior League. She enjoyed reading, travel, tennis and bridge. As a child, she relished spending her summers at Chemong Lake, Ontario and later, in Northern Michigan with family and friends. Nancy was considered the "Queen Mother" and matriarch of her extended family who loved her very much. Nancy is survived by her family whom she loved very much, including her son, John Bovill, III; daughter, Beverley B. Bovill and fiance, Robert C. Scholten; three grandchildren: Spencer W. Brielmaier, Paige B. Brielmaier and Gennaveve B. Bovill; dear sister, Beverley G. Hamblin and husband, Peter A. Brieger; and five nieces and their families: Barbara J. Carakostas, Karen A. Longo, Susan J. Bassett, Cynthia J. Billings, and Christine L. Hamblin. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, William R. Hamblin and nephew, Jeffrey W. Hamblin. FUNERAL: A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. The Rev. Curt Norman will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Family and friends will visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., as well as at the church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00. I am so grateful to have had the chance to express my love to my favourite aunt during her final days. She told me when she visited me in Toronto many years ago that she liked to see where someone lived so she could envision them there. I see she and Uncle Bill walking on the beach in Hawaii toward that beautiful sunset. They are reminiscing about their loving children Bev and John and their many devoted friends and family. Celebrating love on Valentine's Day.

My name is Jennifer Wyatt. I want to share some memories about my Aunt Nancy Boville. My Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bill would always invite my family up north to stay with them at there cottage on Black Lake in Onaway Michigan. Aunt Nancy was always kind, gracious and a wonderful hostess. She was just wonderful. I do not think that I ever said thank you enough. So I am taking time now to say thank you. I also want to say thank you to you and Beverley for taking the time to come to visit Dad at Sunrise Assisted Living of Troy. You were a blessing in Dads life and ours. Thank you.
