Steven Stanulis

Beloved son, brother and uncle passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home. He was 56 years old. Steven Michael Stanulis was born on September 10, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan to Joseph and Katherine Louise (Lawler) Stanulis, Jr. He was a Bridgeport High School graduate. Steve was very artistic, he loved music especially playing his guitar. In his younger years, he worked as a welder and a plumber. Steve will forever be remembered for his kindness, good heart and for the love he had for his family. Surviving are his parents, Joseph and Katherine Stanulis, Jr. of Bridgeport; two sisters and two brothers: Laura E. Johnson of Saginaw, Joseph M. (Lin) Stanulis, II of Freeland, Mark V. (Lori) Stanulis of Vassar and Kathy M. Penny of Thomas Township; three nieces and four nephews: Katherine (Tyler) Blair, Anthony (Anna) Johnson, Jessica Stanulis, Ashley Stanulis, Joey (Ngan) Stanulis, Jacob Stanulis and Nathan Penny; and one great-nephew, Hue Blair. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harry and Agnes Lawler and Joseph and Ellen Stanulis. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Dombrowski and Deacon Roger Passionek will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the family at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression to the Saginaw Rescue Mission or Saginaw Mental Health.
