Phillip Rowan

Rowan, Phil G. of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, brother and dear friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home. He was 54 years old. Phil G. Rowan was born September 6, 1963 in Saginaw to the late James and Billie Jo (Frost) Rowan. Phil was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan football. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, watching various television programs and playing pool. Phil had a fascination of wolves. He was a proud father, attending sporting events, academic events and coaching. He will forever be remembered for being competitive, his kindness, selflessness, and his outspoken opinions. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Kevin N. (Selene) Rowan of McKinney, TX; Gabriel G. Rowan of Saginaw, Kaiya A. Rowan of Saginaw, and Summer N. Rowan of Saginaw; three step-children: Tracy L. Beckert of Saginaw, Stephanie E. Beckert of Ypsilanti and John W. (Emily) Beckert of Auburn; his former spouse, Kimberly T. Rowan of Saginaw; and one brother, Mike (Melissa) Rowan of Burton, Michigan. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Phil's uncle, Tom Frost, for all the love and care he has provided. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rowan. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Honoring Phil's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
