Gonzales, Benny of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was 47 years old. Benny Gonzales was born on July 16, 1970 in Saginaw, Michigan to Fred Gonzales and Gloria Lerma. He was a proud graduate of Reuben Daniels High School. Benny was employed as a groundskeeper by Autumn Ridge Apartments for 12 years. He loved baking holiday cookies, fishing and snacking on gummy bears. Benny was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed eating and hanging out at Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters. Benny will forever be remembered for his fun-loving, outgoing, caring and generous nature. Surviving are two daughters: Gabrielle Gonzales of Arizona and Miranda Gonzales of Florida and their mother, Margaret Ramirez of Florida; a granddaughter, Adalynn Madrigal of Arizona; mother, Gloria Lerma of Saginaw; father, Fred Gonzales of Saginaw; three sisters: Laura (Raymond) Tucker, Lydia Gonzales, and Alicia Gonzales-Vasquez; grandmothers: Janie Lerma and Beatrice Gonzales; a girlfriend, Lisa Hernandez and her daughter, Laura; good friends: James Similton and Richard Gomez; four nephews: Curtis IV, George III, RJ and Devon; five nieces: Brianna, Veronica, Marissa, Leticia and LillyAnna-Marie; one great nephew, Carter and one great niece, Aubrey. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins. He preceded in death by his grandfathers: Simon Lerma and Ralph Gonzales. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFM Cap will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Benny will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to c/o Gloria Lerma. Deepest condolences and sincere sympathy go out to Benny's girlfriend and family on his sudden passing. Ben was a hard working groundskeeper here at Autumn Ridge Apts formerly The Crossings at Beuna Vista. He always had a kind word for me everyday. I will sorely miss him. Praying God's peace for the family in their time of mourning and bereavement.
