Matthew Romero

Romero Matthew Allen "Matt" of Saginaw, Michigan formerly of Owosso Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away peacefully with is family by his side on Sunday, December 24, 2017 following a long battle with Huntington's Disease. Matthew Allen Romero was born on October 9, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jessie Romero and the late, Dawn Orth. He loved spending time with his family, especially playing video games. He was a sports enthusiast often rooting for his two favorite teams: Alabama State University and the Detroit Lions. Matt loved to eat corn dog, pizza and all types of snack foods. He enjoyed watching the Harry Potter series and National Lampoons. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, his loving heart and his indomitable spirit. Surviving are his father, Jessie Romero of Alabama; two brothers and two sister: Frank (Courtney) Romero of Kalamazoo, Victoria Gomez and her fiancé, Fredrick Dukes of Saginaw, Adam (Denise) Orth of Novi, and Jessica Romero of Saginaw; four special nieces and one nephews: Theresa Bonds, Josie Gomez, Santiago Romero, Jada Romero and Gabriella Gomez. Also surviving are many additional nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dawn Orth. Honoring Matt's wishes cremation has taken place.
