Anthony LaManna

LaManna, Anthony "Tony" of Burton, Michigan, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the KRA-NUR manor. He was 96 years old. Anthony LaManna was born on November 24, 1920 to the late Frank and Josephine (Jarvis) LaManna. He married the love of his life, Mildred Marion Ruhl on June 14, 1947, she preceded him in death December 2, 2007. He enjoyed baseball, camping and fishing. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Thomas (Judy) LaManna of Saginaw, Martha Walton of Rochester, MN, Gary (Jackie) LaManna of Mountain Home, ID and Mary (Larry) Buffey of Burton; a daughter-in-law: Wendi LaManna of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren: 29 great-grandchildren; and sister, Loretta McGowan of Malibu, CA. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Greg LaManna; one brother and five sisters; and two aunts: Philomena and Elizabeth Jarvis. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring Anthony's wishes, cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw West Lions Club # 58851, 2340 Deindorfer, Saginaw, Michigan, 48602.
