Obituary
Perez, Francisca (Ponce) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Marys of Michigan surrounded by her family. She was 89 years old. Francisca Ponce was born on June 26, 1928 in Villa De LaPaz, Mexico to the late Refugio and Maria Concepcion (Gomez) Ponce. She married Francisco Lazaro Perez on April 19, 1948. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2003. Francisca was a faithful member of St. Dominic Parish-S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was dearly loved by her family and enjoyed cooking and spending time in her flower garden. Francisca is survived by her four sons and seven daughters: Lazero (Julia) Perez, Janie Hernandez, Dolorez Perez, Connie (Beto) Rodriguez, Gilberto (Martha) Perez, Ricardo (Cindy) Perez, Gloria Orozco, Elizabeth Perez, Margaret (Augustine) Salas, Hope (Manuel) Medrano and David Felix Perez; 41 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends; daughters-in-law, Dawn Perez and Maria J. Perez; and former son-in-law, Edward Glen Orozco. Francisca was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Beto Rodriguez Jr.; great granddaughter, Corina Rodriguez; sons-in-law, Louie Hernandez and Everette Ledbetter; two sisters and one brother. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will be held for Francisca will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at St. Dominic Parish - S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Steven M. Gavit and Rev. Fr. Robert J. Deland will co-officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. The family will pray the Rosary on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. lead by Amy Roe. Francisca will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mrs. Perez was the sweetest lady and always made me feel like i was apart of the family which i thought i was!! and always made sure you got something to eat or drink great hospitality. She will be truely missed.
