Sharon Johnson

Johnson, Sharon A. of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully went home to be with the Lord, with her family by her side, on Monday, September 25, 2017. The daughter of the late Milton and Irene (Mahan) Dubay was born on August 21, 1941. She married the love of her life, Charles D. Johnson on December 11, 1981; he survives her. She enjoyed taking rides with her husband. Sharon also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved fall time, listening to country music, going to the casino and dancing. Surviving are her beloved husband of 36 years, Charles Johnson of Saginaw; 14 children: Barbie Rosin and her daughter, Lacy Near and her daughter, Aubrie of Arizona, Rick Near and his son, Ricky Near of Saginaw, Timothy (Marietta) Near of Saginaw, Diane (Don) Steinger of Oklahoma, Jerry Near and his fiancée, Barb Vance of Burt, Dawn (Rick) Morgan of Hale, Gary Near of Bay City, Jeanne (Steve) Lapine of Saginaw, Jimmy Johnson and his fiancée Debbie Tennier of Saginaw, George Johnson, Joseph Johnson and Chuck Johnson, all of Saginaw; three brothers: Cecil, Art and Russ Dubay; three sister: Jackie Lown, Marlene Pickens and Lavonne Cramer. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and her dear friends, Shannon Smith, Rudy Thompson and Millie Federspiel. She was preceded in death by a son, William Near, II, her mother and father and two brothers: Milton Dubay, Jr., and Richard Dubay. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sharon's two daughters, Jeanne and Marietta for all the love and care they provided to Sharon, as well as to the entire family. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Chaplain Carol Wesolek will officiate. Honoring Sharon's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
