Bujouves, Kristi T. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away unexpectedly from a long battle with mental illness and substance abuse on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She was 30 years old. Kristi Tess Bujouves was born on September 12, 1987 in Saginaw, Michigan to Brent and Sheila (Henne) Bujouves. She graduated from Heritage High School with the Class of 2006. Kristi was a gifted and talented artist and musician. She very much enjoyed skateboarding, but loved nothing more than her family and her daughter. Kristi leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and ex-husband, Aeris and David Hickey; her mother, Sheila Dambro; father, Brent Bujouves and favorite girlfriend, Sheila Polley; brother, Nick Bujouves and girlfriend, Alice Vanston; step-sister, Chelsey Dambro; step-brother, Nicholas Dambro; grandfather, Perry Bujouves; godparents, Brian and Stephanie Bujouves; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Carole Bujouves and Ruth Henne and grandfather, Wyner Henne. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off state). Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the discretion of the family in support of mental health awareness or to her daughter, Aeris' future. I coached Kristi at Kempton elementary school and she was such a gentle beautiful soul. She was always such a nice little girl and a good friend to my daughter. Years later we became friends on Facebook and that meant a lot to me. I will always cherish her memory. Rest in peace sweet Kristi - I loved you dearly.

I met Kristi around 10 years ago, she was amazing, light hearted, beautiful, creative, and one of a kind in the best way. I could relate to so many of the things going on in her life, that's how we clicked... we both came from beautiful families that loved us unconditionally and yet still had a hard time finding our place in this world, I lost touch with her a while ago unfortunately because of distance and our own separate struggles and pain. I regret not being able to help especially now that it's become my sole purpose to help others who share similar mental illness and self medication... Kristi you have and will be missed for a long time and I will be looking at your bright beautiful star often. You are now another reason for me to help others, I just wish we didn't have to lose you... much love always. We will never forget you and the beautiful person you will always be in our eyes. Thank you for being a part of our lives.

I will always remember Kristi as a bright, energetic, lovely, honest, hardworking, respectful and pleasant person who loved her daughter and her family. She had her struggles but she was a genuinely good and sweet person through and through. She had the right attitude and was well-liked by myself and my co-workers. Our hearts are breaking for her loss and her family's loss. Rest in Peace Kristi.
