Devereaux, Thomas F. "Tom" of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper, with his family by his side. He was 87 years old. Thomas Francis Devereaux was born on July 15, 1929 in Howell, Michigan to the late Thomas and Mary (Murphy) Devereaux. He married Catherine Ann "Kay" Justin on October 19, 1957 in Orchard Lake; she preceded him in death on November 18, 2003. He honorably served his country by enlisting in the United States National Guard. Tom was employed by Consumers Energy for over 42 years, retiring as superintendent. He was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed traveling. Above all, he loved and cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his kind and caring spirit. Surviving are one daughter and one son: Julie Kavalick of Croswell; Thomas J. (Dawn) Devereaux of Millington; four grandchildren: Heather Johnson, Brandon Brenizer, Ashleigh Devereaux and Tyler Devereaux; and two sisters and one brother: Margaret Coe, Rosemary Hartsig, and Steve Devereaux. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Andrew LaFramboise will officiate. Military Honors will follow under the auspices of the American Legion Post #439. Honoring Tom's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. My Uncle Tom was one of the kindest, most compassionate person I have ever known. His friendly, loving spirit will forever live on in my heart. It wasn't that long ago that Uncle Tom spent an evening with all the McIntoshes, and we caught up on all the family happenings. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Julie and Tommy, during this most difficult time. Be assured that your Dad was loved deeply by me.

When I think of Tom, what comes to mind is the kindest person to walk the planet. I feel truly blessed to have had the good fortune to have known Tom. He will surely be missed by one and all!

Tom was always so thoughtful, we loved the Christmas cards he sent to me and mom every year. Will miss him! I think if him and Kay often. I was blessed to have them in my life. Your memories of Tom will be in your hearts forever. Prayers and blessings Julie and Tommy.
