Virginia Brackett

Brackett, Virginia M. Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. She was 98 years old. Virginia Mary Dixon was born on April 14, 1919 in Flushing, Michigan to the late Philip and Viola (Noyes) Dixon. She was married to George LeVern Brackett and he preceded her in death in 1961. Virginia enjoyed helping those around her as a Nurses' Aide for 20 years at the Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, retiring in 1985. She loved to camp and play bingo. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida with her daughter, Anna Lee and her fiancé, Dennis Kovacs. She is also survived by a daughter, Linda and Tom Smith; grandchildren: Sarah (Rob) Witgen, Paula (Bruce) Love, Chey McInnis, Scott Lee and Todd Richard; great grandchildren: Michaela Witgen, William Massey, Andrew Massey, Rob Zasadny, Becca Rohrbach, Amber (Adam) Diaz, Logan Lee and Kailea Allen; great-great grandchildren: Aaleyah and Alonzo Diaz and Michaela Zasadny who brought a special twinkle to her eye. Virginia will also be deeply missed by her extended family, Dave and Linda Way and many others from Florida who knew her as Mom. Virginia was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Allen Lee; grandson, Matthew J. Lee; and great granddaughter, Holly McGeogh. According to Virginia's wishes private burial has taken place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
