Thomas Lewis

Thomas H. Lewis of Saginaw Twp., Michigan Our beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Hampton. He was 65 years old. Thomas Harold Lewis was born on January 27, 1952 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Marion V. and Yuma A. (Williams) Lewis. Throughout Tom's life he faced many health and physical challenges, but he overcame them and enjoyed so many things, including the Detroit Tigers. Tom graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1977. He loved to spend time outdoors and because of this love he was a Life Scout with Troop #282. Tom also attended Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are his brother, Robert Lewis; brother-in-law: Bill Hoffman; two nephews, Matthew (Dawn) Hoffman and Jeffery Hoffman; five great nieces and nephews: Brenden, Jakeb, Alerie, Joseph, and Dorothy. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Hoffman. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
