Frankie Harrington

Harrington, Frankie I. of Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the St. Francis Home of Saginaw. She was 82 years old. Frankie I. Sagesh was born on March 12, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank and Madeline (Engel) Sagesh. She married the love of her life, Melvin D. "Mel" Harrington on August 2, 1952. They celebrated 62 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 15, 2014. She was of the Lutheran Faith. Frankie will forever be remembered for being a devoted wife and a loving and caring mother to her seven children. Surviving are six children and their spouses: Keith (Cheri) Harrington, Wendy (Greg) Gilbert, Douglas Harrington, Paul (Anna) Harrington, Jaime Harrington and Jayson (Tammy) Harrington; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Harrington; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Harrington; a son-in-law, Richard Premo and three sisters. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 545 7th Street in Freeland. Rev. Robert Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Hidden Harvest.
