Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at HealthSource-Saginaw following a brief illness. She was 70 years old. Sue Alice Larrabee was born on November 17, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Robert K. and Winifred (Treat) Larrabee. Sue loved to hunt for treasures at garage sales, enjoyed bowling, and caring for her pets. She had been a past member of Hopevale Church. Sue is survived by her sons: Robert James Schmitzer, Kenneth Herbert (Tracey) Schmitzer, John Alan (Jenny) Schmitzer, and William Charles Schmitzer; grandchildren: John Jr., Brooke and Kenneth III; mother, Winifred Larrabee; and her brother, Craig (Susanne) Larrabee. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Robert K. Larrabee. Cremation has taken place and Sue's cremated remains will be interred at Owen Cemetery. I am really disheartened to hear of Sue's passing. I remember her from the fourth grade at McBrite Elementary. She had challenges to be sure but I always liked her and supported her! She grew into a lovely woman and was so proud of her children. She approached me at our DMHS 10 year reunion to speak and reminiscent with me! I remember you too Mrs. Larrabee as a lovely woman who wanted Sue to experience life to it's fullest and to her ability even at the Wienecke Farm where we went horseback riding! I pray God provides you with peace, and the love and support of friends and family during this difficult time.
