Passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 66 years old. Brian Theodore Ahnger was born on February 8, 1950. He served the Court for 36 years, starting in September 1980. Brian was a good man that always had the ability to make people laugh; he also enjoyed golfing. SERVICE: A memorial service to honor Brian will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State). The Honorable William A. Crane will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of their choice. I had the pleasure of working with Brian at the courthouse several years ago. I was a new attorney at the time, and he was a wonderful mentor to me. I thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor and appreciated his outlook on things. He was a fixture on the fourth floor and will be greatly missed. - Jennifer Shephard
