MASON, Kim A. Beaverton, Michigan Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. He was 64 years old. Kim A. Mason was born on December 14, 1952 in Saginaw, MI to the late Dennis J. and Musa G. (Gilbert) Mason. Kim A. Mason married Sandra A. Moracco on December 30, 1978 in Geneva, NY; she survives him. Kim was a brilliant business man, owning and operating several businesses throughout his life. His personality was a brilliant light in the room, and his warm and jovial spirit will be greatly missed by all of those that knew him and have met him. Kim is survived by his wife, Sandy Mason; son, Brent A. (Ashley) Mason; grandson: Ayden James Mason; brother, Dennis J. Mason, II; he will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Tammy Bauer. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Jeremy S. Mason will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to It Takes a Warrior Crisis Response Team. My heart is so heavy since I found out that Kim had passed. I have never seen a time when he was not a happy person. Praying for the family and friends who I know are equally distressed. A very severe blow for all.

Mr. Mason was a fine man; a person goes throughout their life coming in contact with thousands of people. Everyone has memories they cherish from the few that left outstanding footprints on their hearts. Mr.Mason was one of those people for me. Pictures will forever scroll throughout my mind of Mr.Mason and my dad standing and laughing.. and laughing and laughing. Fine man, fine family man... one hell of a spirit. Thank you sir for being apart of my life. You will always make me smile sir

We traveled to Europe with Kim and Sandy to watch our boys play soccer over there. Oh my we had such fun. Kim's personality was as big as the room or train car! In fact we cleared a train car and had it all to our selves because he made us laugh so much and so loud. Well you just could not help it. What a wonderful time - I shall always remember Bergen Norway. In all of life you meet those really special people who warm you up with cheer, laughter, and just good friendship --- Kim Mason was one of those special people. You will be so missed my friend. Prayers for the family.

You know you have a good friend when you don't see someone for years, and when you do, it's like you never left. We reunited for dinner at a restaurant and we laughed (loudly). I guess we chased everyone out. We couldn't help being so happy. Kim was my assistant soccer couch for his son ,Brent and my sons. We also went to Europe to watch our children play soccer in tournaments. We were so sore from laughing. One time we went to a Viking Museum where they told us Vikings really didn't have helmets with horns. Kim was mad, he said that's it ,this is a fake museum! They are lieing! He was full of life. Love you Kim.
