Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Sunday January 8, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison, surrounded by his family. He was 60 years old. Roberto was born on July 21, 1956 in Hart, Michigan to Valentine M. and Juanita (Guzman) Garcia. He proudly served his country on active duty as a United States Marine for 4 years and then continued his faithful service in the United States Navy & Army Reserve for 11 years. He also worked for CSX and Central Michigan Railroad as a Forman and a welder. I will never forget you, you welcomed me with an opened heart since the first day i met you. You always made me feel welcomed especially when you surprised me with a 21st bar b que dinner for me. I will never forget how you would just speak your mind so crazy and funny. How you would tell me "mija look away im going to go flirt with some pretty ladies". We did alot of fun trips together and the way you looked every time you spoke about you sons and then your grandson was a look of achievement and proudness. The loud way you would wake us up with your "WAKE UP AMERCIA!!".....but most of all i will never forget the talk you gave me when Joshua passed away. I carry that forever in my heart. No matter what i will consider you my Dad with the upmost respect. I called you dad because i loved you that much. God bless you and i miss you. Forever in my heart.

When uncle Robert was around i knew to get ready for his bear hugs. Those hugs kinda hurt but you couldn't whimp out cuz he do it harder! He loved his nieces and nephews as he did his own children. Memory: I remember when Gloria and I started wearing make up (we are the eldest girls of the cousins). He say... mija, you're so beautiful my love, why wear that clown stuff? Gloria just smiled and my smart ass said "tio if you seen us wake up in morning you wanna buy us more make up" me thinking..hint...hint! Instead he said " no mija, i wouldn't. you girls don't need it, you both are so beautiful. Garcia's dont make ugly". I ABSOLUTELY love him! My heart is broken because I know he was our rock. His wisdom will live in us all and we will pass it on to our next generation. Rest in our love uncle Robert. It was/is a true honor to have you when we did.
