Obituary
Of Houston, Texas, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, unexpectedly passed away on December 24, 2016. He was 52 years old. Ernest Hernandez Enriquez was born on June 21, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas to John and Evelia (Hernandez) Enriquez. Ernest was employed by Choice Hotel, where he was a Chief Engineer, earned his GED, and was a member of the Powerhouse Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, music, riding his motorcycle, drawing, and he loved his girls. Surviving are his parents, John and Evelia Enriquez; two daughters: Angela (Patrick) Andrews and Mariah Zeitz; two granddaughters and one grandson: Quinn, Lucy, and Finnegan Andrews; sister, Cherie Fuentes; brother, John Jr. "Fudd" (Jenny) Enriquez; mother of his children, Melissa Zeitz; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcelo and Beatrice Hernandez. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. My condolences to all his family. Ernest was a gifted, talented, giving, Jack of all trades man. I will always have a memory of him in my home. I have a piece of his master work in my home in my son's room who loved the Texas Longhorns so he painted a big nice Longhorn on his wall. He did awesome work. Cherie my heart hurts for your loss but you have so many great memories. He had a heart of gold always willing to give a helping hand. He may be gone but never forgotten.

My condolences to the Enriquez famiy. I had the opportunity to work with Ernest. He was our maintance man at the La Quinta Inns & Suites. Ernest always came to work with a positive attitude and became a great friend to me and my family. He shared many great stories of his own family and his realtionship with Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed and always remembered....
