Mrs. Patzwaldt was my instructor at the skill center. Although she was my teacher for only 1 year, she became an unforgettable person in my life. She taught me so much about life. I will always be grateful to have had known her. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom and grandma's passing. She was the most gracious women I have known. She had a heart of gold and was so compassionate with whomever she came into contact with. I had her for my mentor at the Skill Center. My parents were going through a divorce and she took me under her wing and saw me through it. I have always had a very special place in my heart for her. I have been Blessed to have had her at a very difficult time in my life. Peace Be With You, In You, Around You, I will Continue to Love the Memories I had of her, Prayers for all if you at this difficult time. Patty Ayotte Reynolds

To Shirley's family....I am so saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. I hope you know what a blessing she was to so many, many people including me. I worked with her at the Bay Arenac Skill Center for four years which was the beginning of a life long treasured friendship. We've traveled together, shared life experiences together and laughed a ton. Jeff and Dan, my heart goes out to you! I for one will miss her terribly but am honored, honored, honored to have shared our friendship for so many years! Rest in peace dear friend!

Oh, how I will miss you Shirley. I miss that we cannot continue to talk and spend time together over the coming years. I will miss that even just a few weeks ago when we talked she said isn't life wonderful and so much fun. I will miss your eternal optimism. I will miss loving you and being loved by you.
Now what I have said to you countless times and now say publicly that nothing in my life would the way it exists if it were not for your love and support. It was Shirley who encouraged me to get a bachelor degree and did all the typing for the degree. It was Shirley that encouraged me to do my masters degree. It was because of this that I was able to move into a professional position and became encircled by professional people. Then because of this I married a wonderful man and was given a fairytale life. I have the life I have today because Shirley gave of herself.
We met through my cleaning houses. In working for her she invested in me and turned my life into one that became one of fairy tales. I thank you Shirley for 40 years of friendship. I will miss you my friend and look forward to more times in heaven and again hearing you saying, "Isn't this wonderful and so much fun."
