Diane Liedeke

Liedeke, Diane Eleanor of Merrill, Michigan Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Wellspring of Frankenmuth. She was 68 years old. Diane Eleanor Lewis was born on April 17, 1948, in Hawaii to the late Benjamin Frank and Eleanor (Afleck) Lewis. She met the love of her life, Ronald Albert Liedeke while he was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. They were united in marriage on October 28, 1967. She was a proud graduate of Killeen High School, Texas. Diane was employed as a civilian secretary with the Army Special Services. February 1968, Diane and Ronald relocated to Merrill, Michigan, where she held a fulfilling job raising her children and caring for her family. She was a member of the Merrill Eastern Stars. Diane was a gifted and talented crafter. She had a passion for quilting, crocheting and knitting. Diane also enjoyed sewing clothes, painting pictures, gardening, canning and working on crafts with her husband. Surviving are her beloved husband of 49 years, Ronald A Liedeke of Merrill; two children: Cindy (David) Liedeke-Mitchell of Saginaw, Ronald Todd (Marissa) Liedeke of Brighton; one grandson: Aidan Liedeke; a sister Elaine (John) LaGrone of Temple Texas; and a nephew, Richard LaGrone. Honoring Diane's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State).
