Petersen, John E. Saginaw Twp., Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 86 years old. John E. Petersen was born in Trufant, Michigan on August 2, 1930 to the late Clyde and Lenore (Norton) Petersen. He married Peggy Wardlow on February 10, 1951 in Saginaw. She preceded him in death. John was the manager for several food processing and packaging plants and retired from Klein-Berger Company after 45 years of service. During his career John spent 15 years working as a regional manager in Greeley, Colorado. He was a loving and spirited father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle who had a zest for life and all those who surrounded him. John is survived by his sons: Michael R. (Elizabeth Binasio) Petersen, Daniel J. (Pamela) Petersen and Timothy J. (Kathy) Petersen; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Jane Vance; many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was preceded in death by wife, Peggy; son, Charles (Karen) Petersen; brothers: James, Charles and Paul Petersen; sister, Katherine Larson and daughter in-law Karen Petersen. According to John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
