Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. She was 87 years old. Anna Miklosovic was born on April 6, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank and Helen (Simoncic) Miklosovic. She married Lewis R. Bowerman, Sr. on June 26, 1948; he preceded her in death on April 19, 1998. Anna graduated from Saginaw High School. She was a long-term member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Anna had a career spanning over 30 years with Michigan Bell as well as 15 years with the Saginaw Intermediate School System Transition Center as a ParaPro. In her spare time, Anna enjoyed gambling trips, but loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are one son and one daughter: Lewis (Linda) Bowerman, Jr. of Saginaw and Cheryl (Rick) Metiva of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren: Jason Bowerman, Jodi (Nick) Chenoweth, Jeremy (Michelle) Metiva, and Sarah (Dennis) Bertoia; seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Justin, Devin, Greyson, Oliva, Reed, and Grant; two sisters and one brother: Helen (Fred) Adams, Elinor (John) Rudy, and Robert (Virginia) Miklosovic; brother-in-law, Robert Dowis; sister-in-law, Becky Miklosovic; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lewis Sr.; three sisters and one brother: Irene Dowis, Mary (Jerome) Gagnon, Frances (Hank) Beauregard, and Frank Miklosovic. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at St. John Paul II Parish - St. Josaphat Church, 469 Shattuck Rd. Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Anna will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Charity of the Donor's Choice. Louie, Cheryl and families,
I just want you to know how much your mom was loved. I have so many great memories of our younger years, up north trips to your cabin, Easters at her house, making Christmas cookies with our mom's, sleep overs, shopping and many more!
Aunt Annie will truly be missed but will always bring a smile to my face when I think of her. She is a peace with your dad in heaven....and I hope that helps to know in some small way.

Dear Louie and Cheryl, sisters, brothers , grandkids, nieces, nephews and many,many family and friends.....
Aunt Annie will always be "The Elizabeth Taylor of Carrollton" to me. She was unique! A lovely person, kind-hearted, fun-loving, considerate. I have wonderful memories of being apart of her life. A gracious hostess at her Easter brunches, avid euchre participant at family gatherings, and loving mother. I was blessed to know this woman. Thank you for always being kind to me, another Miklosovic angel in heaven.
