Obituary

Blanco, Angelina of Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Covenant Hospital with her family by her side. Age 80 years. Angelina Rodarte was born August 29, 1936 in Uvalde, Texas to the late Jose Casimiro and Refugio Rodarte. She began migrating to Michigan around 1941 until her family permanently located to Saginaw in 1947. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and had a great devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and the holy rosary. Angie had a real talent for sewing and worked many years at the Wedding House of Frankenmuth. She loved the Detroit Tigers and her telenovelas. She married Guadalupe Blanco and he survives her, along with her five children: John Brown, Juanita Rodarte, Tony (Chris) Arroyo, Angela and Valerie Blanco; eight granddaughters: Jill, Jennifer, Tammy, Tina, Elizabeth, Anjelina, Catiana and Omayia.; and one grandson, James (Simon); seven great-grandchildren in Michigan, Ian Anthony, Ianna, Audriana, Axia, Ariela, Sevianna and Cecilia; one brother, Valerino Rodarte; one sister Ruby; her beloved Chia; special friends: Pam Shaw and Juana Orosco; and a beloved nephew, Larry J. Rodarte. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Roberto and Manuel Rodarte, three sisters: Guadalupe Morales, Janie Rodarte and Josephine Gallardo; and her beloved nephew, Felix Gallardo, Jr. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Covenant Cooper 7th floor ICU Surgical Unit "our dream team". FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Ave. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
