Obituary
Passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Age 71. Brian was born in Bay City, MI on April 5, 1945, the son of the late Eugene Moody and Avis (Evans) Moody. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalamazoo and a former member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw. He enjoyed books, music, dancing, cards, Backgammon & Cribbage, socializing with family & friends, talking politics and was an avid Detroit Lions Fan. He was a wonderful cook, who made "The Best" chili. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carol (Newas) Moody; children, Regan (Tim) Braun and their children, Liam & Fiona, Erin (Taver) Moody-Zoet and their children August & Macklin, Brian Eugene Moody Jr. and Amy Macfarlane and their son, Kellan; sister-in-law, Kathleen Moody; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Moody. MEMORIAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001 or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004. Brian was two years older than me, but we played ball at Central and Saginaw High. Although I've been gone from Saginaw for 50 years, I've thought frequently of both Craig and Brian. The last time I saw him was at one of the golf outings where I really really enjoyed our brief time together. Brian was one of the really "good guys" and was always a pleasure to be around. My deepest condolences go out to you and your family.

Dear Family, Im sorry to hear of Brians passing. I played baseball w/ Brian at Webber and together at Hoyt park as Maplewood Pee Wees and Ventaire Tigers. I have some photos to share w/ you from our days of growing up in the (WOODS)!! Several friends will be attending Brians memorial.
