Eloise Teddy

Eloise L. Teddy Saginaw Twp., Michigan Eloise L. Teddy died at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw on Saturday, June 25, 2016. She was 94. Eloise was born in a lumber camp in Mackinac County's Rexton, Michigan on May 25, 1922 to Benson and Lulu Wiggins. The family relocated to St. Ignace where Eloise graduated from St. Ignace LaSalle High School in 1940. While working as a clerk in the Mackinac County Courthouse she met Michigan State Police trooper William J. Teddy. They married in 1944 and moved to Marquette, where they enjoyed hiking, fishing, hockey games, winter sports and the birth of their only daughter, Lorri. The couple accepted a job transfer to Bay City in 1961. Eloise worked as a secretary for the Bay City School District's Licensed Practical Nurse School. She retired in the mid-1980s and moved to Saginaw in 2010. Eloise enjoyed being with family and friends and curling up with a good book. She was an excellent seamstress, baker and gardener. She is survived by her daughter Lorri D. (Kip) Lea, of Saginaw and a brother, Gerald (LaRaine) Wiggins of Newberry, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eloise was preceded in death by her husband in 1997. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Eloise will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate. Private burial will be in Floral Gardens, Bay City. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
