Mary Malecki

Malecki, Mary Ellen of St. Johns Michigan, formerly of Saginaw Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Sparrow Health Systems. She was 84 years old. Mary Ellen Roemer was born on August 20, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Carl and Ellen (Kent) Roemer. She was a proud 1949 graduate of Saginaw High School. On June 2, 1951, Mary Ellen married the love of her life, Robert Malecki at St. George Catholic Church in Saginaw. She dedicated her entire life and love to her family. Mary Ellen loved and cherished the many memories the family all share together. She will forever be remembered for being a kind, compassionate and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Estelle Malecki and her husband, Randy McClain of St. Johns; a son, Robert Carl (Terri Lynn) Malecki of Birch Run; seven grandchildren: Carson (Michelle) McClain, Adam (Francine) Malecki, Steven Malecki, Travis (Victoria) McClain, Shane (Theresa) McClain, Rebecca (Kyle) Rose, and Amber Hammerl; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte DeMaet and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Milne. In accordance with Mary Ellen's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private committal service will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State).
