Bye, Craig S. of Thomas Township, Michigan Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was 60 years old. Craig S. Bye Sr. was born on July 6, 1955 in Midland, Michigan to the late David M. and Frances J. (Craig) Bye. He was a 1974 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Craig married Janice A. Evoy on October 3, 1975 in Saginaw; she survives him. Craig was the owner and operator of Debut Automotive Design for over 30 years. From an early age, Craig was fascinated with flying and continued that passion into adulthood, passing this on to his son. In the past he also enjoyed hot air ballooning and boating with his family. Above all he loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. Craig will forever be remembered for being the life of the party and for being the best husband, father, grandfather and friend ever. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Janice A. Bye of Thomas Township; a son, Craig S. (Alycia) Bye Jr. of Saginaw; a daughter, Kellie Jo (Mike) Amabile of Ft. Myers, FL; three grandchildren: Jackson Bye, Owen and Ethan Amabile; and three sisters: Constance Masters of Saginaw, Pamela (Behzad) Hosseinzadeh of Nashville, TN and Teri (Jim) Ruiz of Glenview, IL; Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, David W. Bye. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Andrew LaFramboise will officiate. Honoring Craig's wishes cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Wings of Mercy East Michigan, 15057 Lindbergh Ct. Linden, Michigan, 48451. My sincere prayers and support to all of your family in the tragic loss of your father and loved one. Though many years have passed since our encounters with each other at Nouvel High School, you continue to be in my prayers and aspirations. As a teacher I know that lessons are learned inside and outside the classroom and we learn from one another. I had a chance to do business with Craig back in the 90's when I was a Sales Manager at a new car dealership. He was a class act to do business then and I was visiting my family in Saginaw a couple years ago and made it a point to track him down.....I am so glad I did, we shared stories about our grandchildren and how business had changed from our hay days together. He was such a good man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Craig was a high schoolmate and to say he was the class clown minimizes that term. He was a riot. I was a serious student and who did I draw as my Biology lab partner? Craig. He was absolutely no help but sure knew how to liven up the whole process. Jan I wish I could be there to hug you and comfort you but in lieu of that please know we love you and love our memories of Craig. He was a very special person brought into our lives to bring great joy and lasting contributions. He sure did love you I know that.
