Judy Rauschert

Rauschert, Judy Ann of Bay City, Michigan Our loving sister, aunt and friend was greeted by her Lord in heaven and reunited with her parents on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. She was 59 years old. Judy Ann Rauschert was born on October 25, 1956, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Erwin L. and Elna (Wegener) Rauschert. She was a faithful and lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monitor. Judy treasured memories of living on the family farm. As a little girl, she looked at the encyclopedia article on cats so often and with such excitement that it left the pages tattered and worn. Judy liked coloring, doing puzzles, as well as collecting videos and games. Judy loved her friends, neighbors and the staff at Midland Manor, where she helped the other residents in various ways, visiting them, greeting people at the door and showing the latest novelties she'd bought. She especially prized her affectionate and loving Jake, an orange and white kitten, who shared her apartment and her life. Judy will be missed by her brothers: Melvin (Maureen) Rauschert and James (Elaine) Rauschert; nephews and niece: Jeff (Jenny) Rauschert, Beth Rauschert, Eric (Carrie) Rauschert; great nieces and great nephews: Tiffany, Douglas, Emily, Justin, Karissa, Ethan and Carter; and many cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a special cousin, Esther Wegener. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Judy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church-Monitor, 20 E. Salzburg Rd., Bay City, MI 48706. Rev. David Sherry will officiate. Private burial will be in Fremont Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
