Valle, Estrella Blanca Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with her family by her side. She was 85 years old. Estrella Blanca Trevino was born on June 26, 1930 in Monterrey, Mexico to the late Gilberto and Juanita (Valero) Trevino. She married Francisco Valle on July 16, 1950 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1996. Estrella was a faithful member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, St. Helen site for 35 years. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary. Estrella enjoyed cross-stich, sewing, crocheting, watching novelas and dancing with her husband to "Spanish Eyes." Estrella took great pride in caring for her family that survive her. Her children: Maria (Michael) Steffen, Estrella (Wayne) Tanner and Lydia (Gerald) Naples; grandchildren: Cristina Romero, Martin (Paola) Pringle, Javier Steffen, Jason (Lauren) Reese, Stacie (Joseph) DeSander, Sarah (Dakota) Stapleton, Melanie Steffen and Isaac Steffen; many great-grandchildren; brother, Omar Trevino; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francisco; son, Mario Valle. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, St. Helen site, 2445 N. Charles St. Rev. Fr. Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Estrella will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church or the American Alzheimer's Association.
