Yntema, Stuart H. Saginaw, Michigan Died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 after a short illness. Age 89. He was born on July 1, 1926 to Dr. Stuart and Jean (Bazan) Yntema. He was married to Beverly Ballantine (deceased) on July 29, 1950 and is survived by his good friend Jody Farley; daughters, Karen (Tom) Wilson of Greenbrae, CA, Jentje (Allan) Cain of Houston, TX, sons, Stuart (Gloria) Yntema of Saginaw, MI, Steven Yntema of Saginaw, MI and five grandchildren. Stu was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Vonnie and Guy S. Garber. He attended Arthur Hill High School; graduated from Cheshire Academy, Cheshire Connecticut in 1944. Received a B.S. degree in 1948 and a M.S. degree in 1949 from the University of Michigan. He was employed by US Graphite Co., a Division of Wickes Corp., in 1949 as a sales representative in Battle Creek, MI. In 1967 he co-founded TPI Powder Metallurgy, Inc. in St. Charles, MI. In 1986 he became Chairman of the Board and CEO. Stu's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at New Hope Valley Assisted Living and Home & Hospice Advantage for their care and compassion. SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Dr. Robert Emrich will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. According to Stuart's wishes, cremation has taken place. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Hartley Outdoor Nature Center or the Eastside Soup Kitchen. 2008 Cadillac for sale. I have a lot of memories of and with Stuart. We were Duck hunting partners for many years and it was one of his many loves to be out in the marsh with his sons , many of his friends and I. Those memories will always be with me God bless you Stu

Our deepest condolences to Aunt Jody and all Stu's kids. We were so sad to get the call on New Year's Eve that he had passed. He was a very special guy and was always very kind and sweet to us. We always enjoyed seeing him at the Point and at Aunt Jody's. We're so sorry for your loss, but were relieved that he went quickly and peacefully. May you find peace in your many fond memories.

My condolences to Jody, Steve, Stu and family. Stu had an effervescent spirit and a wicked, dry sense of humor, one of the best I've ever known. A fond memory of Stu was at his son Steven's college graduation celebration dinner at Carlos-Murphys. We culmatively did 24 upside margaritas, breaking the bar record. Half way through, Stu had Steve and I lift his legs and shake him to "mix" the margarita, exposing his garters. We still laugh about that to this day. I'm sure when Stu comes off the course in heaven, God will ask him his score, and Stu will turn to him with that wry smile and say, "83....of course". Rest in peace Stu and know that you touched many and were loved by many.
