William Bruno

Bruno, William H. of Saginaw, Michigan formerly of Durand Passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper, with his family by his side. He was 72 years old. William Henry Bruno was born on October 28, 1943 in Durand, Michigan to the late Charles Howard and Mary (Libbey) Bruno. Bill was a 1962 graduate of Durand High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1973 during the Vietnam War. Bill worked Buick City Engine Plant, West Palm Beach Road Commission as a heavy equipment operator and finally as a trackman at Grand Trunk Railroad, retiring after 16 years of service. Bill was an avid sports fan, especially cheering for Lions, Tigers, Redwings, Saginaw Spirit, Saginaw Sting and Michigan State University. He enjoyed going to the movies, camping and loved to make people laugh. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends. Surviving are four sons and one daughter: Robert Bruno of Owosso, David Henry (Iris) Bruno of Saginaw, Lyman (Angel) Bruno of Charlotte, Kay Neff of Saginaw, Scott Bruno of Owosso; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard (Ann) Bruno of Durand. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Bruno. Honoring Bill's wishes cremation has taken place.
