Obituary
Francisco "Frank" Zeferino Garnica, Jr Passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Francisco was born on April 14, 1969 in Saginaw, MI to Francisco Garnica and Margaret (Ortega) Garnica. Frank is survived by his three children Crispina Rodriguez (Selena Ramirez), Manuel Rodriguez (Felicia Ruiz), and Jayce Garnica; their mother Lanie Garcia; and his mother, Margaret Garnica Salazar. Frank also leaves many others to cherish his memory including his two grandchildren: Mariano Rodriguez and Marchello Rodriguez; a Godson, Draven Kuhn (Tania Garcia Becker), his sisters, nieces, nephews and many cousins, as well as a lifelong friends, Lee Perez and Mike Gomez and cousin, Dan Acevedo. Frank graduated from Eisenhower High School in Saginaw in 1988 and was employed for many years at the Saginaw Country Club. He loved all sports, his favorite teams were the University of Michigan (football), Oakland Raiders, and Detroit Tigers. Frank was a very involved father and instilled this love for sports in all of his children. He also enjoyed watching Frasier, Law and Order and caring for his beloved Shar- pei's. Frank had a great admiration for mob movies and Italian culture because of this was at times referred to as "Don Francisco". Francisco was predeceased by his father, Francisco Z. Garnica; his step-father, Joe "Cobra" Salazar; and grandparents, Antonio and Josephine Ortega. FUNERAL- A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Andrew LaFramboise will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Crispina Rodriguez. Frank & I worked together for many years at Saginaw Country Club. He was a true pleasure to work & be friends with. Such a " wry" sense of humor. I lost a very good friend in Frank's passing. I had the opportunity to work with Frank many many years at Saginaw Country Club. He was great with the members and always kept Tuck & I laughing. I will NEVER forget Frank and send my prayers to his entire family as well as my good friend Lupe.
