Brown, Anna Lee Freeland, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Francis Home. She was 86 years old. Anna Lee Throop was born October 2, 1929 in St. Louis, Michigan to the late Frank and Nellie (Hubbell) Throop. Anna worked at Dow as a bookkeeper, where she met her husband, Tom. She married Julius (Tom) Brown and they shared over 50 years together. Anna and Tom raised three children and during that time she drove school bus for the Freeland School District. Anna's heart and love for her Lord was shared at Beacon of Hope Church (formerly First Baptist Church, Saginaw) where she loved to spend her time with her church family. Anna is survived by her children: David Brown, Dale Brown and Lorraine (Jack) Brown-Cummings; sister, Jackie Hoernlien; brother, Culver Throop; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Tom on December 3, 1996. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Anna will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Rick Cunningham will officiate, burial will follow in Owen Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. It is with deep sadness to hear of your, sister, and mom, Ms. Anna Lee Brown transition from Labor to reward. I will always remember and cherish the precious memories of her and Tom who nurtured my Christian walk and showed me love regardless of my nationality. I have precious memories of Sunday School and Wednesday nights at F.B.C. On N.Jefferson. She is now reunited with Tom I'm heaven where there is no more sickness and death. I would like to be there to celebrate her homegoing but I have no transportation. Jackie, David, & Lorraine, I convey my deepest sympathy and condolences on the home going of your mom, sister and loved one. My prayers go out to you in your time of mourning and bereavement.
