John Kinsler

Kinsler, John F. of Saginaw Township, MI Passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 30, 2015. He was 79 years old. John F. Kinsler was born on November 16, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a proud 1960 graduate of Michigan State University. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. John married Gail Patricia Dodge on October 17, 1959 in Grosse Pointe Park; she survives him. He moved to Saginaw in 1973 to work for Ferrell Ross for ten years. He then became the owner and operator of Respond First Aid Systems. John was an avid pilot and loved flying his Piper Cherokee. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Gail Kinsler of Saginaw Township; one son, John S. Kinsler of Streamwood, IL; two daughters: Sharon Kahn of Mt. Pleasant, and Laura Ouimet of Laguna Niguel, CA; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Kinsler. The family wants to offer a special thank you to his companion and caregiver, Michael Richardson and hospice nurse, Theresa Smith. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring John's wishes cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw Rescue Mission or the American Diabetes Association.
