Gonzalez, Irene Eleanor of Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home. She was 73 years old. Irene Eleanor Beranek was born on February 20, 1942 in Saginaw to the late Clarence and Corletta E. (Zucker) Beranek. Above anything, Irene loved and cherished her family. Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Kimberly Letson, Caroline Letson, Robert (Dawn) Letson and Gilberto (Kristina) Gonzalez all of Saginaw; a special granddaughter, Tanisha Letson, as well as 13 additional beloved grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Fern Canfield of Saginaw; a brother, Robert Beranek of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ivey Letson; a brother, Ivan (Londa) Beranek; a sister, Jean Heinz; a brother-in-law, Henry Canfiled; and a sister-in-law, Donna Beranek. FUNERAL: A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the chapel of Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Ave. Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate with burial to follow. VISITATION - Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the cemetery chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider flowering plants, in lieu of flowers or funeral sprays.
