Donald Walser

Walser, Donald D. of Saginaw Township, Michigan, Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison. He was 71 years old. Donald D. Walser was born on April 9, 1944, in Owosso to the late, Phillip A. and Louise H. (Neff) Walser. He was a 1962 graduate of Chesaning Union High School. Following graduation, Don enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve honoring his country with four years of service. He married the love of his life, Antoinette L. Ross on October 1, 1970; she survives him. Don was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed traveling with his family. Above all, Don loved and cherished his family. Surviving are his beloved wife of 45 years, Antoinette L. Walser of Saginaw Township; two daughters and one son: Donna (Doug) Roberts of Lennon, Brent (Heather) Walser of Ithaca, and Jolene (Robert) Figel of Owosso; eight grandchildren: Travis Ownsby, Alex Byers, Jolee Walser, Phillip Walser, Dokota Figel, Michaels Byers, Hannah Miller and Serenity Figel; two sisters-in-law: Janice (Walter) Letkus of Saginaw Township, and Wilma (David) Keller. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Walser; one brother, Lyle Walser; one brother-in-law: Steve Ross. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center, as well as the staff at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison 7th floor. Honoring Don's wishes cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will take place.
