John Wessely

WESSELY, John J. of Saginaw Township, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 58 years old. John Jay Wessely was born on May 28, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John E. and Evelyn R. (Stoffel) Wessely. He spent his life loving Betty (Kopanek) Stolte and raising her children, Jerry and Joseph, as his own. Betty survives him. John graduated from Buena Vista High School with the Class of 1975. He then became a contractor for the Saginaw News. In his spare time, he loved bowling, guns, the casino, and playing card games, Pinnacle and Euchre. Left to cherish his memory are his loving partner of 30 years, Betty; two children: Jerry Stolte and Joseph (Julie) Stolte; three grandchildren: Autumn Beardsley, Emily White, and Rebecca White; two brothers: Timothy (Mark Madaj) Wessely and Lawrence Wessely; and many other family members and friends. John made friends easily and everyone was his friend. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Michael G. Stahl will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., as well as on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
