Ruth Miller

MILLER, Ruth M. (Oliver) of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on August 25, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 79 years old. Ruth Mary Pine was born on September 21, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Reed Joseph and Dorothy (Gertrude) Pine. Ruth was a Certified Nursing Assistant for St. Luke's Hospital for 30 years until her retirement; later she also worked as an in-home health care aide. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Also, Ruth enjoyed playing Scrabble with the grandkids and celebrating birthdays meant the world to her. Surviving are her three children: Matt (Carol) Oliver, Mark Oliver, and Kim Schleiger; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her siblings; close friend, Jackie Allen; daughter-in-law, Laura Oliver; and many other family members and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by baby daughter, Connie and two sons, Robert and Jim Oliver. FUNERAL: Funeral Services will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Rob Schmidt will officiate. Cremation will follow. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
