CAMPBELL, Jacqueline L. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home. She was 85 years old. Jacqueline Lorraine Pety was born on June 18, 1930 in Paulding, Ohio to the late Henry and Suzanne (Brysselbout) Pety. She married James Richard Campbell on February 3, 1951; he preceded her in death on April 9, 1991. Jacqueline graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Mt. Pleasant with the Class of 1948. She would go on to earn her teaching degree and Master's from Central Michigan University. Jacqueline was of the Catholic faith her whole life. In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoyed gardening, reading, volunteering at the library as a book mender. Surviving are her three sons and two daughters: Maria (Joseph) Brent, Suzanne (Georgianna Kohn) Campbell, James (Julie) Campbell, Peter (Shawn) Campbell, and David (Mari) Campbell; six grandchildren: Justin (Diana) Campbell, Matthew (Brittany) Campbell, Andrew Campbell, Nicole Campbell, Emily Campbell, and James Campbell; and three great-grandchildren: Aviana, Brooks, and Christian; and many other family members and friends. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, James; five sisters; and brothers. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Georgianna for the loving care devoted to their mother for all of these years. Per Jacqueline's request, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service has taken place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery in Irishtown, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Humane Society or the Mt. Pleasant Public Library. Family cottages up north, puzzles puzzles puzzles, Light houses, pearls, and cats galore, Angel food cake with whip cream topping as a late night snack, Victorian, Santa and Crystal tree, sledding on the barn just hill, mother goose nursery readings or any children's book of that matter, football games on that little TV in the family porch room, her favorite talk show host whom she thought was a hunk-cant remember his name, pearls, Catholic church on Sundays, summers in her garden with Em and small kiddie pool, early mornings to watch the birds feed from the view of her big living room, a picture of me asleep on grandpa's lap above red red velvet rocking chair, her ceramic bunnies placed randomly throughout the house, those vintage looking siaps in the bathroom I loved to smell, that secret hiding spot of Ems and I when we where we has our secret fort, the house on the hill where I spent much of my childhood, her playroom in the laundry room with that abstract painting that always caught my attention, how she loved her glasses of wine at family reunions..
..memories that will always remind me of Gram. I miss you, Gram. I will not mourn a loss, but smile knowing you beat me to a far better place then one can phantom. Say hello to Grandpa for me and remember, I will one day see you again. Love you, Gram.

Our condolence to the Campbell family, Maria, Suzanne, James, Peter, Dave. Jacky and Jim were wonderful neighbors especially when my husband and I first got married and moved to Isabella Rd. Jim worked nights in Lansing and I always found comfort seeing all those lights on in the big green farm house on the hill. Living in the country and not having a grocery store within walking distance, I knew Jacky would have it in her pantry. When Jacky moved to Saginaw and the lights when out in the house, we felt a sense of loss, but also knew that the flower gardens had become too much for her to take care of. We are sorry for your loss and hope that you will find comfort in sharing all your wonderful memories together. Jim and Barb Kunik

Dear Family,
I did my student teaching at Kinney School in Mt. Pleasant and was so happy to become acquainted with Jackie. Over the years we talked many times whenever I would see her at mass at St. Vincent de Paul in Shepherd. She was an excellent teacher and a very fine lady. The family went to Jacquie's home on August 10th 2015 to move some belongings, underneath the couch was a note that read " Thursday July 30th 2015....Dear Jackie, I met you last week and have been looking for you in the dining room since then. Could we have lunch together on a day of your choosing? I could stop by your room on my way down to the dining room. Please call me at xxx-xxxx Thanks, Gert Crump....Welcome to Westcourt!
