Obituary
HUBINGER, Viola E. of Saginaw Township, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at home. She was 91 years old. Viola Edna Nuechterlein was born on February 26, 1924 in Frankenmuth, Michigan to the late Walter J. and Edna (Warnick) Nuechterlein. She married Donald L. Hubinger on February 22, 1947; he preceded her in death on July 25, 2000. Viola graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1942. She then attended Delta Community College and obtained her associate's degree; she then worked as a paralegal and retired from Braun, Kendrick, Finkbeiner, Schaefer & Murphy Associates. She was confirmed from St. Lorenz and attended Peace Lutheran for many years. She was a member of the Germania and highly active in the Farm & Garden Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed bridge, the theater groups, and Saginaw Symphony concerts. Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Carol Lockwood, Saginaw; two sons: Randall (Amy) Hubinger, Marquette and James (Melinda Plaugher) Hubinger, Midland; eight grandchildren: Kelly Cowieson, Matthew (Brenna) Lockwood, Jeffrey (Gina) Lockwood, and Jessica (Ben) Roth, Leah Hubinger, Vaughn Hubinger, Hailey (Craig) Story and Alison (Mark) Abraham; eight great-grandchildren with twins on the way; sister-in-law, Dorothy Nuechterlien; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Lockwood; son-in-law, George Lockwood; and three brothers and one sister: Lawrence Nuechterlein, Marvin Nuechterlein, Gerald Nuechterlein, and Ruth Kueffmer. MEMORIAL: A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Avenue, 48602. Pastor Paul Hinz will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Burial of cremated remains will follow at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Your mother and I worked together for years at Braun, Kendrick, Finkbeiner, et al. and had several visits at Town Hall Series. She was always cheerful with the lovliest of smiles for everyone. She was my mentor and friend. Heaven will rejoice as one special angel returns to her heavenly home.
