Jacqueline Preston

PRESTON, Jacqueline "Jackie" M. of Saginaw, Michigan. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Hoyt Nursing Home & Rehab Centre. She was 85 years of age. Jacqueline Marie Warsin was born on January 21, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William J. and Gladys (Langdon) Warsin (Cascadden). Jacqueline was a 1948 graduate of Marysville High School. She married the love of her life, Warren E. Preston, on August 6, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2011. She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church. Jackie loved animals, especially her many beloved collies. She will forever be remembered for dedicating her life to family, friends and home. Jackie was also an extraordinary cook, who enjoyed playing cards and board games. Above all, Jackie loved and treasured her family. Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Gregory (Karen) Preston of Bay City, Dana (the late Alan) Reis of New York, NY, Rick (Diana) Preston of Saginaw, and Jeffrey (Karen) Preston of Port Saint Lucie, FL; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marty (David) Nelson and Billie Jean (Dave) Mull; one brother, Marc (Lupe) Warsin; and a very special nephew, Terry Braley. Also surviving are many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her best friend and sister, Elaine Braley. FUNERAL- Jacqueline's Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Nancy Steele will officiate. Private entombment will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION- Friends are welcome to visit with Jacqueline's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service.
