Barry, Jack Louis, Jr., M.D. Saginaw Township, MI and Green Valley, AZ Jack passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Nogales, AZ, with his beloved spouse, Arline. Jack was 84 years old. He was born in Detroit, MI, on April 27, 1931, to the late Jack Sr. and Doretha (Clark) Barry. In Jack's early years he was an Eagle Scout and in 1950 he graduated from Royal Oak High School. He followed in his parents' footsteps and attended Albion College, graduating in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Barry furthered his education at Wayne State College of Medicine and received his Doctorate Degree in 1959. He settled in the Saginaw community in 1961 and established a thriving family practice in Bridgeport for 37 years. He was chief of staff for St. Mary's Medical Center from 1973-1974. He was President of the Saginaw County Medical Society from 1979-1980 and the Michigan State Medical Society in 1994. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Health Plus of Michigan from 1987-2014, dedicating 27 years to the growth and performance of the company. Throughout Jack's very busy life he spent 42 wonderful years with the love of his life, Arline. He is also survived by his children: Michelle Lamb, Elizabeth Depner and Katherine (Glen) Herman; stepchildren: Michael (Cheryl) Fabian, Kathleen (Philip) Naegele and Cheryl (Clint) Hemingway; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Leroy (Sue) Barry, M.D.; sister, Margaret "Peggy" (John) Bashur; and many extended family and friends. Jack was an avid boater, hunter, golfer and fisherman. He was an avid reader, had many hobbies and enjoyed being a world traveler. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society or Wayne State University College of Medicine. I was Dr Barry's nurse when he retired. I remember our talks about snowmobiling and boating like they were yesterday. When Arlene and him stayed in Chebyogan my husband and I was able to spend some time with them. I will cherish those memories forever. My you both rest in peace.

Dr. Barry delivered me almost 54 years ago.. he was my doctor for 10 years, until we moved away. When I was in elementary school I had blood clots in both knees and remember him treating it with heat. My sincere condolences to his family.
