Barry, Arline Joan Saginaw Township, MI and Green Valley, AZ Arline passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Nogales, AZ with her beloved spouse, Jack. She was 79 years old. Arline was born in Detroit, MI, on December 23, 1935, to the late John and Josephine (Midura) Warren. Arline graduated from Dominican High School in 1954. She attended the University of Detroit for two years and was inducted into the Mensa International High IQ Society. Arline then graduated from Delta College in 1972 as a Registered Nurse. As a nurse, she worked at St. Mary's Hospital and then Jack's family practice in Bridgeport until their retirement. While working, she was also a scuba instructor at the Saginaw YMCA. In 1996, Arline returned to Michigan State University and graduated as a nurse practitioner. Throughout Arline's very busy life she spent 42 wonderful years with the love of her life, Jack. She is also survived by her children: Michael (Cheryl) Fabian, Kathleen (Philip) Naegele and Cheryl (Clint) Hemingway; stepchildren: Michelle Lamb, Elizabeth Depner and Katherine (Glen) Herman; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Robert) Amerine. Arline was a world traveler, an avid reader and loved the water. She enjoyed golf, playing bridge and was an excellent cook. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Michigan State University or the Taymouth Township Library. So sorry to hear of the loss of Arline and Jack Barry. I meet Arline nearly 50 years ago when I was a young bride. I was amazed by her intelligence and love of life. I still use some of her tips today: don't put to much soap in the washer, have a small pad of paper on the window sill for grocery items, she taught me many recipes, especially Christmas cookies and Thanksgiving sides. She so loved her children--Arline thought that Mike was so handsome and looked like her family, Kathleen was very intelligent and capable of anything--and Cheryl is a real beauty and so sweet and darling.I am very proud of her accomplishments in later life.
