Frantom, Andrew "Andy" Jonathan of Saginaw, Michigan passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was 42 years old. Andrew J. Frantom was born on April 18, 1973 in Saginaw, Michigan to John and Mary Ann (Hetherington) Frantom. Andrew was a proud 1991 graduate of Carrollton High School where he actively participated in football and band. He then attended Northern Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University. Andy married the love of his life, Shelley Rene Garza on May 17, 1997; she survives him. He was employed with United Financial Credit Union as their IT Supervisor for 11 years. Andy loved spending time at the family cottage on Lake Superior in Marquette, as well as attending the annual outhouse races. Andy enjoyed reading and online gaming with his friends. Above all he loved and cherished his family, especially his children. Surviving are his beloved wife of 18 years, Shelley Rene Frantom of Carrollton; daughter, Kayley Nichol of Williston, ND; son, Zachary Frantom of Prudenville; two grandchildren: Andrew Wilson, Natalie Ralph and a granddaughter Elaina Frantom due in July; parents, John and Mary Ann Frantom of Carrollton; fathers- and mothers-in-law: Leland (Carrie) Filhart of Mt. Pleasant and Jose (Rita) Garza of Midland; sister-in-law, Michelle (Patrick) St. Pierre of Saginaw; brother-in-law, Brian (Carole) Garza of Grand Rapids; three uncles: Dick (Loris) Frantom of Morristown, TN, Don Frantom of Chicago, IL, and Gary (Phyllis) Hetherington of Dewitt; and special friends: Larry and Sheila Sykora of Lansing. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many near and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph and Velma (Brightbill) Frantom and Francis and Mary (Johnason) Hetherington. Honoring Andy's wishes cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date at Park Cemetery in Marquette, Michigan. A Celebration of Andy's life will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at United Financial Credit Union, 4685 State St., Saginaw, Michigan, 48602. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Carrollton Education Foundation, 3211 Carla Dr., Saginaw, Michigan, 48604. Arrangements are entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). It was kindergarten and they were making taffy, Andy, John Giltrop George Hopper Bobby Johnson, I was helping out they had that taffy everywhere,the pictures I hae will always be special. His smile never changed, as they grew all of their group became more special, they were here for what ever they needed they always new they could. Andy helped with our computer and one day he came I couldn't get it and he said mayb you shouldn't use the computer Mrs G. Then the pictures with the new grand baby which that smile of his just made you know how happy and proud he was. We love you Andy and we will miss you. We send our deepest sympathies to all of the Frantom Family.

I was so sad to hear of his passing at such a young age, he was always a kind and loving person. He will be truly missed by a lot of people, prayers to his family.

Rest in peace Andy Frantom. I will forever remember you as the little boy that only liked to wear black t-shirts and had a ferocious appetite for reading.
