Kostrzewski, Alexander "Alex" J. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away suddenly on Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home. Alexander J. Kostrzewski was born on September 10, 1992 in Saginaw, Michigan to James and Maureen (Moran) Kostrzewski. He was a graduate of Mackinaw High School and had attended Delta College. Alex was an avid sports fan but excelled in playing hockey. He enjoyed trout fishing with his father, uncles and family. Alex was a kind and caring uncle to his four nephews. Above all, he truly cherished being with his family, friends, neighbors, and with his beloved black labs: Molly and Maggie. He will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for being a light to his family. Surviving are his father, James Kostrzewski of Saginaw; two sisters: Sara (Michael) Michutka of Richland, Kris Kostrzewski of Granger, IN; one brother, Jamie (Larysa) Kostrzewski of Grand Rapids; grandmother, Mary Ann Moran of Saginaw; four nephews: Jake, Jack, Liam and Maximus; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dogs: Molly and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maureen Kostrzewski; grandparents, and his cousin, Tommy Heidger. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastoral Associate Sharon Wahl will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Jim Kostrzewski. We are so very sorry for your loss. Alex was friend and co worker with our son Patrick. We really enjoyed having him around our home, and hearing the stories of their workdays or fishing trips. He was a pleasure to be around and a very good friend to Patrick. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Alex. We love you.

Jim, what a heartbreaking tragedy, my heart hurts for you and your family. I remember picking up Jacob from your house many times, and I remember Alex as a funny and personable kid. The video tribute brought me to tears, looking at how precious and well loved he was and what a senseless loss this is.
