Clark, Jean E. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital with her family by her side. She was 81 years old. Jean E. Sommers was born on June 25, 1933 in Freeland, Michigan to the late Joseph and Cora (Woodworth) Sommers. She married the love of her life, Daniel W. Clark on August 16, 1958 in Freeland; he preceded her in death on November 17, 1992. Throughout her life, Jean was heavily involved with various youth and senior bowling leagues within the tri-cities area. Upon Dan's retirement, both he and Jean enjoyed traveling. She was an avid card player, especially family oriented card games, as well as, Euchre and Pinochle. Jean also enjoyed taking many trips with her family, especially "up-north" with her grandchildren. Above all, she loved and cherished her family and friends. Surviving are three sons: Russell (Lori) Clark of Saginaw, Joseph (Maggie) Clark of Bay City, and Douglas (Diane) Clark of Bay City; three grandchildren: Paul, Kasey, and Hallie Clark; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: Herbert Clark and Leo Bates. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by all of her four brothers and three sisters. Jean's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for all the love, care and compassion they provided. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Sue Hand will officiate. Private burial will follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City. VISITATION: Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre or Hospice Advantage. My mom was a wonderful caring person who loved life and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing Pinnochle with dad and Uncle Jack and Aunt Mable. They would sometimes play til 1-2 in the morning. After dad passed she would often play Skip-Bo with Grandma Ginny. In her earlier years Dad and her really enjoyed being involved in bowling both in their own leagues as well as running youth and senior activities. She loved her grandchildren and always wished Dad could have gotten to spoil them only the way a Grampa can. You will be missed mom but I'm glad you and dad are back together at last. I love you with all my heart and will see you again someday. Give dad a hug and kiss for me.
