Brooks, Patricia "Patti Lou" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 61 years old. Patricia Louise Bunker was born on March 2, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Ronald H. and Joanne M. (Coombs) Bunker. She was married to Mike Brooks on May 31, 1984 in Saginaw. He survives her. Patti Lou worked as a dispatcher for Saginaw County Dispatch for over 26 years, retiring in 2005. She loved to be surrounded by her family, enjoyed bingo and casino trips, and spending time by the water. Patti Lou is survived by her husband, Mike; children: Christopher Swick, Jason (Erin Badour) Swick, Jessica (John) Buchanan, Randi Witkovsky, Lynda (Joel) Deopker and Mary (Mike) Hines; an "adopted son", Bobby (Heather) Zolton; grandchildren: Cameron and Courtnie Swick, Xavier and Zoe Swick, Gage Badour, Will Buchanan, Zachery Howe, Emma Brooks, Landon and Cooper Hines and Samantha Deopker; her best friend of 45 years, Mary McCray Sovey; siblings: Michelle Okowit, Jessie Bunker, Randy (Jan) Bunker, Mark Bunker, Sally Moore, Geoffery (MaryJo) Bunker and Kit (Dale) Kroulik; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Patti Lou's family will share memories and celebrate her life at 7:30 p.m. According to Patti Lou's wishes cremation has taken place. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For my wonderful Aunt Pat, whom I share many fond memories. Some of the best memories I have are of the summers we spent riding bikes between our house and yours. You never turned us away, welcoming us with open arms. Christmas and Thanksgivings of my childhood are also great memories. So many of these holidays we spent all hours of the day and into the night with countless people, family or not. You always welcomed anyone who wanted to come celebrate with us. You will be greatly missed.

We moved into the neighborhood 11 years ago. The Brooks family were great neighbors to us. I love the city, and neighbors like them are why... We combined block garage sales with Pat and other neighbors. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile, and her happiness.
