Kay Kramer

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to all went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was 79 years old. Kay Maxine Slate was born on April 27, 1935 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Harold and Ruth (Medendorp) Slate. She married Robert E. Kramer on March 28, 1953; he survives her. Kay graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1952. Later, she would work as a waitress, pawn broker, real estate agent, government office secretary, Tupes of Saginaw Receptionist, and the business owner of the printing company, Alpha Tech. She was also a council member for Our Saviour Lutheran Church and a Stephen Minister. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, and designing cards on the computer. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Robert Kramer of Saginaw; four children: Karen (Bruce) Manry, Kurt Kramer, Ken (Martha) Kramer, and Kelly (Anne) Kramer; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandsons; brother, Charles (Ruth) Slate; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mae Marie (Charles) Brower. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 2525 Hemmeter Rd. Pastor Jeff Bonn and Diaconal Minister Kathy Bonn will officiate. Honoring Kay's wishes cremation will follow the service. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Kay will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
